In the last tutorial, I have explained about the basic HTML tags like Headings, Paragraph in this article you are going to learn about HTML Styling, Quotation and Citation Elements.

HTML Styling, Quotation and Citation Elements:

HTML Styles:

HTML styles are useful in adding beauty to the HTML code if we say in our own language. You can increase the font size which means text size, you can add colors to the text, background color also.

Structure: <tagname style=”property:value;“>

The property is a CSS property. The value is a CSS value.

Example: <p style=”font-size:16px;”></p>

 

HTML Font Size is useful  for text sizes.

HTML Text Alignment is useful for text alignment.

HTML Fontsfamily is useful in changing the text fonts.

HTML Background Color is useful for changing the background color of content.

HTML Text Color is useful for adding colors to text.

You will learn more about this tags later in CSS tutorials.

HTML Quotation and Citation Elements:

<abbr>

<abbr> stands for abbreviation as the name itself says. It is detected by browsers and useful in identifying easily.

Example: <p>The <abbr title=”World Health Organization”>WHO</abbr> was founded in 1948.</p>

<address>

<address> tag is usually useful in defining the address in your website. For example, if you are having contact page in your website and want to display address then we can use address tag.

Example:

<address>10-21-111<br>

First Floor,<br>

California<br>

</address>

<address> tag usually adds italic styling to text. Use br tag to break the address into next line.

<bdo>

<bdo> functions as bi-directional override, it means it will override the current text direction.

Example: <bdo dir=”rtl”>This is a text written from right to left</bdo>

Here rtl stands for right to left.

<blockquote>

<blockquote> functions in quoting a quotation from another source

Example: <blockquote>Ut nonummy habent soluta claritas veniam. Typi nunc soluta hendrerit mutationem sollemnes. Quis lius dolore et insitam vel. Aliquip consequat futurum claram ut mazim. Facilisi accumsan dolore ii imperdiet consequat.</blockquote>

 

<cite>

<cite> functions for hightlighting the functions of work.

Example: Bulb was invented by <cite>Thomas Edison</cite>

<q>  

<q> functions as basic inline quotation tag

Example:<q>I am grateful for what I am</q>
